Name: Astrid Lokisdottir
Faction: None
Significance: Astrid is part Jotunn/Frost Giant, Part Aesir/god
Species: Asgardian/Jotunn (her mother is Sigyn, and her father is Loki - but that second part is obvious since Norse myth uses a patronymic system)
Age: 18
Gender: female
Nationality/Homeworld: Asgardian/Asgard
Appearance: Astrid has two appearances, one being her human appearance which is a young woman with black hair and piercing blue eyes. In this human form she is 5 feet 7 inches (1.7m) tall and weighs 132 lbs (59.87 kg)
Special Abilities: Astrid is capable of ice generation and ice magic, the use of Asgardian magic and shapeshifting, has superhuman strength/durability/endurance, and the ability to create illusions as well as conceal herself completely.
Weaknesses: idk yet.
Weapons and Equipment: a kunnigr (basically a staff that can change into an ax; both forms pictured below; it's mostly in staff form)
Both have the runes for isa (ice) and ansuz (god) on them.
Biography: Astrid was born in Asgard to Loki Laufeyson (the Norse trickster god of mayhem and mischief and a Jotunn) and his wife Sigyn (the Norse goddess of victory) but splits her time between Asgard and Midgard/Earth. Despite her lineage, she has never been to Jotunheim and thus has never met her paternal grandfather Laufey. For the most part, she stays with the Avengers or her uncle Thor, but does travel to Asgard on occasion. She didn’t have a particularly boring childhood, given that her father kept fluctuating between good and bad, but that did make things more confusing for her in the long run. This fluctuation from her father also gave her a bit of a skewed relationship with him and even caused her to fear that the same thing would happen to her.
Where the rest of her family is concerned, she's got 3 brothers: Sleipnir, her grandfather Odin's mount of choice; Fenrisulfr/Fenrir, a fifteen-foot-tall wolf with shapeshifting capabilities, and Jormungandr, aka "the Midgard Serpent."
Vehicle: None; she's never really in Midgard long enough to warrant the need for one.
