Jack watched as Blackout and Tara ran off, trying to figure out what they were doi... wait? Soldier boy was better? What kind of blast was that? Jack looked over at Iron Man with a worried look.
"Hey, MALCOLM. What kinda blast was that? Didn't seem... normal." He then heard the armored man tell him and the roboperson, who was now gone, to get Toni. He nodded, quickly sliding his arm under Toni's shoulder to help her to her feet. If there was one good think he learned from being an X-Man at this moment, it was how to help move injured people. He looked over at her, kinda sad to see her how she was.
"Ok. We're gonna get outta'ere and get ya help." He then heard Ryuusei. "And ignore dat guy." He started to follow Tony, being sure not to go too quickly. He didn't want either himself of Toni to trip while trying to get out of this place. He did quickly put a card in his free hand though, just in case. He stopped at the door where the older men had stopped, but Jack was quick to finally ask his question.
"Uh... Mr. Stark? Do ya think you could find out if the Xavier School's ok? I... I couldn't find it when I first got'ere."

Rhodey nodded to Tony, and blasted out the rest of the wall near the way his HUD was showing was the way out. They needed to get to one of the main elevator shafts, as they were the quickest way to the surface. However, as was the case for most of the elevator systems in top secret government facilities, there were none that moved directly to the surface...a way to protect against unwanted infiltration, as there was more chance to discover an interloper.
Well, this whole group fell under that classification. Best to try to take out the countermeasures now.
Rhodes accessed the AI in his suit, and put it to work shutting down any lockdown protocols, or automated defenses. As he led the group out, each section went to emergency power, which effectively rebooted the defense weapons for the amount of time they were passing through this or that corridor. It took roughly fifteen minutes to get clear of the lower levels, finally arriving in the back of an armored hangar containing a pair of F-22 Raptors, heavily modified. While they were impressive, Rhodes had already flown them in their test phase...
They were nothing compared to the War Machine armor.
As he waved for the group to come into the hangar, he could hear the rattling machine gun fire in the distance. So,someone else was attacking from the outside apparently as well. He tapped into the security feeds, and watched as line after line of what appeared to be teenage millenials charging toward the base.
Again....What. The Hell....was going on?????
He took off after he scanned for threats in the hangar, knowing that Tony had them covered if they got into trouble...at least long enough for Rhodes to get a look. He leveled off around ten thousand feet, and watched the carnage. The stupid idiots charging in didnt even realize that they were now trying to get into what amounted to a nuclear disaster site after the gamma bomb....most of them would crap their pants if they saw what was actually down there, anyway, but it was a tragic loss of life. That wasnt why he was up here though....
Dropping down to about fifteen hundred feet, Rhodes scanned the hangars to find suitable transport for the others. It took a few seconds, but he located a suitable craft in hangar 66. He opened a com channel to Tony, and relayed the information.
::"Hey, I found something to get these guys out of here. We don't have time to wait for S.H.I.E.L.D. We need to get her to a Trauma Center now. UMC is a Level 1 trauma center, and has the facilities to accommodate Toni. Its right there in Vegas...and a ten minute flight. The Jet over there in hangar 66 is a VTOL transport....get her over there, and we can fly escort. Worst case, Im sure FRIDAY can fly remotely if need be...but Jack over there looks like an X-man, and I believe all of them go through flight sims.
Unless there's another pilot you think should fly."::

Tara turned around to hear a deep male voice behind her, she looked upwards at the towering person... visibly a hardened warrior. " You are big. " Tara nodded without any worry that the massive warrior had a shield and sword, ready to attack. " Faught bigger. " She added with a light manner. Tara then asked again. "Are you a Viking? " She asked, after studying the weapons and clothing of the warrior. He did not have the typical Viking clothing and weapons.... but with the several different people popping up... Tara thought that the person was also from some kind of other dimension.
It took a fair while before Tara was able to go about her business with Blackout. While she was making her way upwards, with the looted alien weapons as well as the 'borrowed' earth weapons, Tara was able to delete the security footage of the entire situation, that happened in the holding cells and lab. Tara however still had to deal with a number of moron kids, during her way, towards the surface.
She also used her HUD to assist in the shutting down of the security systems on the upper levels. Tara also though of joining the conversation between Tony and Rhodey by using her systems and accessing the right channels that the armored duo where using.
Tara joined Just in time, as Rhodey was just giving the newest details of the situation. "I am entering Hangar 66 in 20 second... how is the sight from up there? The General called for reinforcements... I accessed the data about the request... by hacking one of external audiovisual sensors, i picked up the approach of an armored convoy, within 2 clicks west of here... we do not have much time. I scanned several crafts... the V-280 is our best chance to get there on time... i can fly it. " Tara said as she entered the hangar with her weapons, put her loot on the co-pilot seat and started up the engines. She then proceeded to literally fly towards the location of the others, just several feet from the ground.
Tara however landed briefly so that the others could get on to the helicopter without problem. Despite the lound noise of the rotors, Tara was able to speak at normal tone with Tony and Rhodey due to the facr that her systems, selected an deleted the noise of the rotors. " If you two do not mind... i need somebody to keep an eye on my tail... but according to my calculations, the chances of unwanted areal guests are 17,9 percent. " Tara said.
She then called backwards. "Give me the sign when everybody is ready. " She called over to Jack over the noise.

Toni sighed heavily, trying to shrug Jack away from her. “It's my arm that's injured, you dope, not my legs," she said sarcastically, barely suppressing a pained groan. “I am fine, no need for a hospital. I don’t need medical attention, I need my satin bed sheets and ten milligrams of melatonin. Either that or a can of Red Bull and blueprint paper.” She grabbed a coin and flipped it, not saying anything about which side was which. “Well, it looks like Red Bull and blueprints win.” She then looked at her father. “I refuse to go to the hospital. Trust me, I’m fi-” she was cut short by her head killing her and her stumbling a bit.
She smirked and steadied herself. “I’m fine, I swear.” Despite the fact that nanites had been applied to the wound and healing was imminent, the pain was still sort of there. Barely, but at the same time, it was a non-issue.
MALCOLM scanned Toni and addressed Tony, continuing to keep a record of everything happening as he had been quietly doing all this time. “Mister Stark,” he said, “What would you have me do in this situation? After all, she is your daughter.” He paused for a moment. “I can attempt administration of an anesthetic, or perhaps lull her to sleep with Debussy.”
Toni looked at Tara. "Robo-chick, get me the hell home," she said in an aggravated tone. Her patience for this shit was running thin.

Jack rolled his eyes at Toni’s reaction.
“Cut the pride act, Stark. We don’t know how much blood you’ve lost, and I doubt them nanites can replace blood.” Even with Toni’s annoyance at him, Jack stuck close, just in case. As he ran towards the VTOL though, one of the guards tried to grab him by the hand, and something happened. After a few seconds of fighting, they seemed to get weaker, and Jack felt... weird. He backed up, hitting a barrel that soon gained a purple/pink glow.
“Aw crap,” he yelled, trying to decharge it, and failing, before running as he quickly as he could from the now charged object. He ran to the VTOL, but stopped, scared to actually get on for a moment. Then... it seemed to fade away. What the.... No time to ask about it. He quickly got on the V-280 and ran to the copilot’s seat, looking back at Toni.
“Ya need a dang doctor!”

Area 51 - Armory Spectre looked at the guy who had just entered the armory and had raised his sword at him. He checked out the hostile's clothes and appearance before coming to a conclusion: another one of those damn millennials in a cosplay costume. He wasn't going fight some cosplayer because as far as he was concerned, he was the only person with real abilities there. "You know, I'm not into the Skyrim games that much. Heck, I've never played it. I prefer modern stuff like GTA where I can shoot guns and blow shit up. So tell me, what's the deal with everybody being a cosplayer today?" He asked the Skyrim dude before continuing. "I've seen Iron-man, War Machine, a terminator, a girl in an Iron suit, a few kids I don't remember shit about. Now, the only real person I encountered was a US Army general, who I handed his ass to of course." It was in Spectre's nature to talk too much, mainly to piss off people who might be hostile to him as it could mess up their focus. However, this Skyrim dude seemed to show no signs of standing down. He even seemed to become more hostile than before. Besides, he didn't have time to chat. He needed to get back to the surface and get away from Area 51 before things got too heated. So he quickly equipped a concussion grenade and threw it hard at the Skyrim dude's feet so that it would detonate on impact. After it detonated, he ran out of the armory and darted towards the elevators that would take him back to the surface.

Well now, wasn't this just a cheery little gathering? So much violence, so much blood...and so much pleasure.
It had taken a couple of days since the strange occurrences of interdimensional gateways opening up, all over the known universe...apparently, the unknown as well. Currently, there was a revolution on Arkania, an attempt to throw off the mantle of Matriarchal rule under the thumb of the Adasca Royal Family. For thousands of years, it had been a monarchy, ruled by a single family. They were seen to be cruel, cold, and unyielding....destroying anyone at the smallest hint of revolt. The population was very caste oriented, with the bulk of the population being miners who spent their lives harvesting diamonds from the deep, cold mines. These people were all-but slaves. Their children, and their children's children, they all did the same...work in the mines. The ones showing higher intelligence were recruited to run the genetics and cybernetics programs in Adascopolis, and they became quite good. Then, of course, there was the warrior caste, who were the ones that made up the bulk of the military.
And that is when things went very wrong.
A lesser royal, a cousin of the Queen, was caught in bed with the wife of one of the higher ups in the military, and that was the spark that ignited the tinderbox. The Colonel shot and killed the royal in a fit of rage, which...no matter your status...was an offense punishable by death. That had been the last straw....and the people revolted. Units were formed, and high-tech equipment was pilfered from the Arkanian armories. With what amounted to the entire military against them, the paltry royal defense forces had fallen quickly, especially in the face of their very own advanced technologies, like the "CLoWDS:Harvester" line of manned portable attack suits. A six-man unit of these Harvesters had attacked the royal palace the very day the portals had begun to appear, and systematically wiped out its inhabitants.
They missed just one....Prince Tidus Adasca. He had managed to slip through a portal that appeared -just- as they had him in their sights. Using data gained from their own use of hyperspace travel, the Arkanian Rebel forces managed to trace the rough location of where the portal had come out, along with the general time as well. They sent three troopers through, with gear that was supposed to assist them in navigating the dimensional rip....but the tech only worked for one. The other two were ripped apart, becoming but a sliver of matter in the stream of space time.
Unit 001, the only one to survive the portal jump, was scanning his field of vision, completely masked behind an active camouflage system, and sensor negation. He had been the one to command the attack on the Royal Palace, and had personally issued the execution order for the Royal family. He was behind the HUD of an extremely advanced prototype that the Arkaninan military had been testing. The Harvester was literally meant to be a one-man army. It was able to engage and destroy targets completely unseen, unheard, and undetected. It was meant to be the most survivable battle armor in the known universe around Arkania. While this wasn't exactly 'around Arkania', from the scans of the tech available on the planet, he should have the upper hand. He watched as the rows upon rows of hapless, untrained fools stormed a heavily guarded military facility. If it had been on Arkania, the ones making the move on the facility would have been immediately neutralized, most likely with one of a myriad of chemical weapons designed for maximum lethality. The humans who were in defense of the base were putting up an admirable effort, firing as fast as their primitive projectile weapons were allowing them. However, in the distance, there was another suit of armor, hovering at about fifteen hundred feet. Scans showed that it was a battlesuit containing a human, and he seemed to be directing traffic, so to speak. The scans also showed systems similar in nature to the one that 001 had been searching for....although they were created from materials that the AI determined to be of Earth origin.
Still, similar might mean that the human would know where Prince Adasca was hiding. The portal that the young Prince had escaped through had been shown to exit here, or very nearby. It was almost impossible to pinpoint, with all the other intergalactic and interdimensional vortices. Tidus was smart, and elusive...but a Harvester -never- failed to accomplish their mission.
Setting loose another set of scans, the heavy, advanced armor detected an anomaly on the ground near the hangar where the armored human was sending the others. It was a quick blip, and gone, but that was all 001 needed. He took off at a rapid pace, the silent repulse thrusters blasting him up to an incredible speed nearly immediately. Moving this fast might cause the sensor negation or active camouflage to not properly cover him but at this point, he really didn't care. He just hoped he could blaze by the human in the air before he was able to get Tidus in his sights.
He had acquired his target. The last Adasca of Arkania was about to die.

They were moving toward the transport, with the...the...well, whatever the hell she was...flying the VTOL craft. It would be plenty fast enough. Satisfied that the group was making it without issue, Rhodes turned to take one more look around before they taxied out. He sent a call out to UMC Trauma, and informed them of the impending arrival of the team assembled. Toni was priority one....if anything were to happen to her, Rhodes would never forgive himself. The doctors there started prepping the operating room, and getting all they needed assembled. Antonia would be okay, if they would just hurry the hell UP!
And that's when his HUD sensors screamed at him that there was a bogey incoming, and FAST. Strangest part was that he couldn't really get a good read on what it was, and even the tiny glimpses he was getting weren't quite enough. From the tiny glimpses he -was- receiving, it almost looked like a more advanced form of Iron Monger...and that meant a ton of trouble if it was. Activating the repulsors, Rhodes put his suit in between the hangar and the newcomer, trying to get a good read on them before they could get any closer. His weapons wouldn't lock on, he couldn't get -any- kind of FoF reading, so that meant it wasn't one of Tony's new toys....
...So what the hell was it?
Aiming the weapons as best as he could, Rhodes spoke through the external speakers.
::"This is your only warning...fall back now. You are trespassing on a United States Government Top Secret facility. I will open fire if you do not comply!"::
The other 'suit' kept popping in and out of visible view, and every time it dropped out of vision, the sensors went black as well. It mattered little, though....Rhodey was able to keep track of it well enough, even with the jumpy view. If the target proved aggressive, however, it might prove a real issue. Right now? It was just a wait and see game.

Post by Kolidir Stone-Heart on Aug 15, 2019 3:28:35 GMT
The Dragonborn lowered his shield and stared at Terra with a rather perplexed face. She was implying that she has fought bigger threats than himself and survived. He released a slight chuckle at the comment. This girl hardly seemed built for a fight let alone strike fear into the fearless Nord. Kolidir suspected she wouldn't last one round with a lowly Skeever. Regardless of what may or may not be true the las continued to spew comments that had no sense being spoken. Most of the remarks made little sense in his mind. What kind of milk drinking name is a Viking?
Despite Kolidir's obvious intentions to fight Terra quickly fled the room before they could do so. "All talk it would seem" He muttered. The Nord slowly brought his attention to Blackout. The man was draped in the most unusual armor; it was black as night. Perhaps this man was a petty thief that enjoyed dancing about with the shadows. Blackout's pitiful excuse for armor would do little against the fierce steel of Kolidir's blade. The Dragon born quickly readied his weapons waiting for the thief to initiate his attack. As he began to approach Blackout the fool decided to open his mouth. Almost immediately shit began to spew from those ungodly lips. The man simply spoke gibberish only occasionally speaking words that he understood. He mentioned of his Homeland Skyrim but what came after that made no sense.
Kolidir bitterly glared at Blackout hoping he would shut up so they could at least fight, but apparently that wasn't the case. As he finished up his comments the thief quickly threw a small object at the Dragonborn and fled. With little hesitation, the Nord unsealed his lips and released his fury. "FUS" The object was quickly repealed out the doorway and exploded with a loud bang. Kolidir quickly chased after the coward, he wasn't going to get away so easily.

Spectre had reached the elevators, but there wasn't an elevator available on the floor yet. He looked behind him as he kept on smashing the elevator button and saw the Skyrim dude running towards him. He didn't want to risk fighting with some crazy cosplayer so he put a katana between the elevator doors so that he can wedge an opening for him to force the elevator doors open by pulling them apart. He didn't even try to look behind him to see where the Skyrim dude was and quickly used a grappling hook implemented in his left wrist to grapple up a floor. He held onto the infrastructure for weight support before grappling up another floor. He did this for a couple more floors until he found himself on the opposite side of the final door in the elevator shaft. Spectre then pulled out a frag grenade and let it cook for a few seconds before he tossed it at the elevator door. The explosion blew down the doors and Spectre jumped through the opening and rolled onto the floor. As the smoke cleared while he got up, he saw many soldiers aiming their rifles at him not even five feet away from him. He counted a dozen soldiers to be exact, with their leader at the front ordering Spectre to stand down. Spectre raised his hands as he grinned, though his facial expressions were concealed behind the helmet he wore over his entire head. "You guys never do learn now don't you. This is going to be fun." He smiled as he quickly pulled out both of his katanas and sliced through the rifles of the 3 soldiers who were up in his face. He then kicked both soldiers that were on either side of the leader and punched the leader hard in the face, but immediately grabbed his body to use as a shield in case the other soldiers tried to shoot. Next, he threw the body of the leader to a soldier to his left before he rolled across the floor while slicing the katana at the legs of the other soldiers who were in the same line. He didn't slice their legs entirely off, but just enough to get them to drop to the ground, sort of like a deep flesh wound. After that, he pulled out one of his pistols and emptied the magazine into the legs of the rest of the soldiers. He wasn't there to kill anybody, nor was he going to kill anyone who he didn't deem as a huge threat, unlike The General. Spectre put the katanas back in their respective holsters and carried on running throughout the halls until he reached the next elevator. This time, this elevator would take him up 20 floors, just 5 floors below the surface. He decided he could live with that this time, though he did enjoy grappling up the elevator shaft. It gave him Batman and Spiderman vibes that he thoroughly enjoyed.

So, the human in the antiquated suit thought he was going to get in the way, did he? He was about to find out something extremely important. He was about to find out what thirty years of combat training did to a soldier. He was about to find out how good a warrior gets where he does nothing but train and fight for three decades. When you couple it with a suit designed to kill entire units of soldiers alone, it was probably the most dangerous weapon in the entire Universe.
The Harvester suit accelerated, keeping the War Machine directly in its sights. Energy began building up all over the suit, fully deactivating the active camo unit. The sensor negation would remain on, as it would interfere with any kind of tracking system for the massive amount of weapons bristling from the other suit. Hmph...projectile weapons...useless against the layered shields of the Harvester.
He stopped on a dime about ten feet from where Rhodes was standing, the blue energy that had begun building up earlier now appearing almost as if the suit was engulfed in blue flames. 001 flexed the fingers of both hands, and two black energy blades...lightsabers...popped out of the middle of each. If this insect insisted on standing in the way, he would be swatted like one.
"Stand aside, human. This does not concern you, but I will not hesitate to eliminate you with much prejudice should you continue to impede my mission."
The vents flared on the Harvester unit, sending blue energy blasting out all around the powerful battlesuit. If Rhodes indeed did not stand down, the Arkanian would show him why the suit was named as it was....
....001 would harvest the very soul of anyone that attempted to stop him from his mission.

Wow...this guy was something else!!
Firstly, the speed of this armor was unreal...it was rivaling that of even Tony's best Mk L design, and it more than likely had a bit more in the tank as far as that was concerned. Secondly, the energy readings on this thing were off the charts. Rhodes had never seen readings like this, not even in the toughest part of the fight with Thanos. Besides that, the energy was of an unidentified type. In anticipation of a fight, every weapon panel on the War Machine armor popped open, and the armament came online. The repulsors began to charge, and the shields came up to full capacity.
Whatever it was, it was making a beeline for -him- now, instead of the hangar where the others were, so that part of the mission was accomplished.
The other suit stopped about ten feet from Rhodes, it stopped like nothing he had ever seen before. It was as if there was a wall in front of the suit. It was truly an amazing piece of machinery, but either way, whoever it was was surrounded in blue flames, and two energy swords popped out of his hands. Cautiously, Rhodes dropped another scan on the suit, and the power readings were literally too much for the sensors to handle. None of the weapons could get anything close to a lock, but at this range, it really didn't matter. There would be enough lead, explosives, and repulsor blasts in the air, this guy was gonna go down quickly.
Oh...great...now he was issuing ultimatums.
"Yeah...how about um...No? I think that's the word I'm looking for. I will open fire if you do not turn around, and leave in the next three seconds."
The minigun began to spin up, but it didn't start feeding ammunition to the weapon quite yet. The repulsors glowed a bright white, nearly at full blast capacity. It was a visible show of force, but it was also to prep against a possible attack. This had the potential to get messy. Opening a channel to Tony, Rhodes sent him a quick burst transmission.
::"I've got this. Go! Get them out of here! I'll keep him distracted until you all are clear, then I will be right behind you."::
His attention never left his potential new foe. Rhodes prepped himself as best as he could mentally for the nearly inevitable battle....he just hoped that suit looked more badass than it really was, otherwise, he was in for a world of hurt.
::"Three......two....."::

Oh, how cute!! He was trying to give orders! And now he was counting down? It was such an adorable display from someone who was already a corpse...he just didn't know it yet. As the human began to count down, The Harvester interrupted him.
"...One!"
He burst forward with explosive speed, going from a dead stop to blindingly fast in what would appear to be a heartbeat. The lightsaber in the left gauntlet snapped out toward the mounting for the minigun on the right shoulder of the arrogant peasant, aiming to sever it before it could be brought to bear. At the same time the saber on the right gauntlet shut down, and the arm lunged forward, aiming for the chest repulsor on Rhodes' suit, slamming down hard onto the chest plate to drive the sharp-tipped fingers into the armor. Behind that, the scans from 001's HUD had shown that it was the power core location. The fingers tore into the other man's suit, and clamped down around the fragile arc reactor contained within. A system within the advanced Arkanian armor began to rapidly siphon power from the core, causing the repulsor light on Rhodes' chest to flicker. The metal groaned on the War Machine armor, giving way as the clawed gauntlet dug deeper into it.
"Its unfortunate that your bravery is wasted on defending these pathetic humans. They don't deserve a hero like you. Too bad you will fall here...it's quite the tragedy."
The more energy that the Harvester pulled from the War Machine armor, the brighter the flames glowed. The heat from the 'flames' was unbelievable, singeing paint from the other man's suit. This was going far more easily than the soldier had imagined...at least the Mandalorians had put up a fight....
"Don't worry....you won't be forgotten. I remember every single one I have killed. Your bravery will live forever in my memory. Now, farewell!!"
Keeping his grip on the chest plate, The Harvester raised the left gauntlet, and began the downswing to send the lightsaber across the neck of the human, aiming to sever his head from his shoulders. This fight was about to be over.

Alarms began to blare the moment that the Harvester unit moved toward him, but Rhodes didn't even have time to move before he was in this guy's grip, and the minigun was spinning off toward the ground. War Machine had gone from being somewhat confident of his victory to having a very real 'Oh shit!' moment. This interloper had cut the minigun off with some sort of energy blade. Worse yet, he had the central power core for the entire armor system in his right hand. Doing the only thing he knew to do, Rhodey aimed as many of the remaining weapons he had left directly at the enemy suit, and opened fire in a desperate attempt to get rid of him. Smoke, fire, energy splash, everything was coming back at Rhodes as he unleashed pure hell upon the heavy battle suit that held him.
It honestly didn't work a lick.
While the Harvester was pushed back just from the sheer volume of fire, literally no damage was being done, and he still had the death grip on the power core. The other man spoke, ice dripping from his words, yet a tone of respect. The blue flames grew, and the suit's systems were shutting down rapidly, one-by-one. It was like a cascade effect, as one shut down due to loss of power, and damage, each one taking critical things with it, like the flight and guidance systems. However, the flickering, fading HUD of his armor showed Rhodes that the VTOL was in the air, and headed toward UCP at a pretty rapid clip before it blipped out completely, giving him only the small field of vision out of the eye slits. At least he had bought some time for them to get away, as he had said he would. With a final electrical whirring, the power core gave way, immediately shutting down the armor, taking the shielding and weapons with it. Silence and darkness filled the inside of his visored helmet. Even if he had wanted to now, he couldn't call for help. So long as the others were clear, it was all right. As the other suit raised its sabered hand into the air to send the death blow down, Rhodes closed his eyes, and waited for the lights to go out.
Too bad...this would have made one hell of a story to tell the guys later. This guy was something else....

Tidus had been spat out in the middle of a desert when he had jumped into the portal to escape the rampaging rebel attackers. They had systematically eliminated his entire family, only missing Tidus because of his resourcefulness. After he had been unceremoniously dropped on his arse in the middle of the night, Prince Adasca had done what anyone else would have...moved toward the lights on the horizon. Along the way, he had passed signs warning of trespassers being presented with deadly force.
Whills alive, he wished Loki were here. As it was, he hadn't been able to grab much in the way of his gadgets, save the ones he had on his person when he jumped in the portal. He also knew he could build a few more as soon as he got to some sort of civilization.....and it didn't take him but an hour of dodging guards and dogs to arrive at the fence of what appeared to be a fairly secure facility.
It had an electric fence, which was easily overcome with the insulating layer the teen had installed in his clothing a long time ago as a defense against force lighting. As his gloved hands fell upon the fence, the outer layers of the garments simply allowed the current to harmlessly pass through the top layer of conductive fabric, the middle and bottom layers being made of extremely non-conductive materials. It took but a squeeze, and tiny cutters popped out of the fingertips, slicing the steel fence like warm bristlefruit, and giving the seventeen year old easy access to the facility. From there, he had pretty much hidden out for the night in one of the larger hangars containing some kind of primitive rotary-wing atmospheric craft. It was interesting, but nothing he really needed to take much note of. It didnt even have repulsors on it, and it appeared to use a very volatile fuel to boot. He wouldn't even take this one up as a joyride...he would be too afraid of it crashing.
The thing didn't even have any kind of passenger foam restraint system, in the likely event of a crash.
Using his active camouflage, and sensor shields, he was able to basically walk around the hangar unnoticed....until the shooting started again. This was different. Tidus could hear projectile weapons...automatic slugthrowers, grenade launchers, and missiles being fired. He could also hear what sounded like a roar from a massive crowd, so apparently, THIS place was under attack as well.
AND WHO THE HELL WERE THEY?!?!!?!?
Someone had come into the hangar...a group carrying an injured, armored female. The suit looked to be the most advanced piece of technology on this base so far, and it was heavily damaged. They didn't take long to board the antiquated craft, get it started, and taxi out. Deciding it was worth the risk, Prince Tidus looked outside, and followed the craft upward as it flew away. And that is when his eyeline was drawn to a fight in the sky.
The Harvesters had found him....even here. That was 001 up there with another in his grasp. A light, metallic helmet seemingly formed out of nowhere, and the young Prince used the HUD inside to watch the fight unfold....short though it was. He -had- to do something, though...the one that 001 had in a death vice might prove useful in helping navigate this foreign world.
The rest of a thin, light armored suit formed around Prince Adasca, and he blasted into the air, still covered by his active camouflage. It took not a second to close the gap between the three of them, and Tidus arrived just as the lightsaber was being raised to end the battle. A small, round barreled cannon formed on his left forearm down over his hand, and fired a tight, orange ball directly into the back of the Harvester. It struck, and immediately, the suit released its grip of the other, both directly headed for the hard macadam below. With a burst of extreme speed, the smaller, light suit caught the War Machine armor about twenty feet from the ground, and flew off, away from the danger of the Harvester, who had slammed into the ground, throwing a cloud of debris and smoke into the air.
When he felt he had cleared enough distance to set the heavy, large suit down, Tidus gently landed, behind a ridge in the nearby mountains. His faceplate melted back into the sides of the armored helmet, and he spoke to the one lying on the ground.
"That won't keep him down long. Can you get your suit active again?"
Realizing that the one inside was probably still in a pretty stunned state, the young Arkanian just shook his head.
"Nevermind...I'll do it."
He began to look over the suit, and noticed heavy damage to the chest plate, and a very faint reading on the power core. Reaching inside, he began to tinker, his own suit's gauntlets sliding back into the forearms as he did so, allowing him to use his own hands. Within about ten seconds, the power core came back online, and started to glow a bright white yet again. Systems started popping back on, one by one, with the eyes glowing as bright white as the power core.
"That will hold, but not for long. He got you pretty good. We can do introductions later. C'mon, he is probably already back up again. We need to move!"
